Tissot watches is the sponsor. They see this and social media as a whole as an opportunity for ongoing sponsorship in a less-invasive way than traditional advertising. They’re trying to connect with consumers through social media and one of their company’s faces.

Consistent with the Sport
Branding in motor sports is not a new concept. This is just a new medium, which may or may not generate some resistance.

New Venture
Both Danica and Tissot are well aware that they are carving new territory in terms of sponsorships on Twitter and are moving ahead cautiously and figuring it out as they go. Both parties want to execute this new venture within the cultural norms of social media.

Craving Engagement
Danica officially launched on Sunday, May 17th, but prior to her first tweet she already had 2700 followers, which illustrated the demand for her to communicate and connect with her fans in this relatively new medium. She’s already validated that her account is real by posting a Twitpic in uniform from New York.

This is a great opportunity for showcasing her very fast-paced life, sharing insights/passions and connecting with fans.

Spread the Word and we would love to participate in a conversation with you

Retweet This

Thanks for all the help.

Tweet you later,

Are Morch
TweedyCoach - #twecoAre Morch -http://www.blogger.com/profile/02485214166978746194noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1445769415804528243.post-71822577449535162812009-05-18T13:55:00.000-07:002009-05-19T10:03:09.429-07:00Twitter Basic's - Twitter The Simple GuideHi friends and followers here is your FREE presentation of;

Twitter Basic's - Twitter The Simple Guide (Slides)

Share => Twitter Basic's – Twitter The Simple Guide

Retweet This

Tweet you later,

Are Morch
TweedyCoach - #twecoAre Morch -http://www.blogger.com/profile/02485214166978746194noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1445769415804528243.post-67142279613512278522009-05-05T12:14:00.000-07:002009-05-05T12:39:47.071-07:00clients – The Simple Twitter Clients GuideThere are hundreds of various ways to tweak your Tweets.

You want to improve your Twitter experience either you use a PC, Mac, iPhone or a Blackberry.

And the tools that works best for me can vary from the tools that you will find works best for you.

With so many new tools and great improvements we see, I try not to get myself to depending on one particular tool. But the real power of the @ replies is that all your followers will see this message.

You can also send an @ replies to peeps that don’t follow you.

Of course with these kind of powerful option with @ replies it is a chance for abusing this.

Some simple @ replies rules;

Don’t use @ replies to spam people

If you send me tweets like @username please check out this link – this will usually turn me off. And I will then check more of your tweets out and see if this is a pattern, if so I will unfollow and block you. Note: @ replies from people that are blocked will NOT show up in your timeline. So if someone spams you then;
a) report them to the Twitter @spam team
b) unfollow them
c) block them

Make @ replies beneficial for all your followers

Remember that when you the @ replies it not only goes to the user you directed the @ reply too, but to all of your followers. Therefore put some thoughts into it, and make sure that everyone in some way can understand it.

Add power to @ replies

Send @ replies to a group of your followers. #followfriday is an excellent example of how to send @ replies to a group. Your tweets can look something like this:

#followfriday I endorse @username1, @username2, @username3

This tweet will go directly to the @ replies box of the user I have mentioned, plus to all my followers.

Now the real power starts kick in when @username1 start retweet this tweet to all his/hers followers, and @username2 and @username3 start doing the same.

Follow up on @ replies

If someone sends or mention you in an @ replies, make sure you send them Thank You note in an @ replies. If they have a question, comment or provided some information that you can benefit from make sure to follow up. And give qualified feedback to the @ replies.

What are @ replies and mentions?

What are @replies and mentions?

How to change your reply settings

Replies Are Now Mentions

Twitter Replies Morph Into “Mentions”

How to Use @Reply in Twitter Messages

How not to miss any Twitter replies @Your_Username

Useful @ replies tools

Tweet Replies - Get notified when someone @replies you!

Twickie - It's the Easiest Way to Archive a Twitter Response Thread!

Send you @ replies to an RSS reader

<img style="cursor:pointer; Twitter authorities often write these posts. The trick here is to get in early on these posts, and make your comments there. Most top blogs today allows you to put in a link to your blog/website and most important they allow you to put your Twitter link there. If the blog don’t allow a Twitter link, then make sure you have your Twitter link visible on your blog/website.

After you have posted your comments that include your blog/website link plus your Twitter link you now want to do two things:

1. Put a link to this article on your website/blog
2. Tweet the link to the original blog where you made your comment

I recommend doing this at least on 5 various blogs per day. Then when you have done that you put your own blog/website into effect. And if you have an article ready now is the time to post it. Then you tweet the link to your article.

First you created a track back to the original blog post, and then you followed up with providing some traffic back to the blog.

#Bonus tip

Participate in informative webinars that talks about Twitter. Many of these webinars allows you to post your Twitter link. Here you will find some real quality followers.

I highly recommend Twittalk.tv

NOTE: Set your followers goal: I will get x followers within 3 months using The Simple Followers Guide.

Set a realistic goal, unless you are a celebrity don't set a goal higher then 1000. You are not prepared for handling any higher amount of followers yet.

Share the Simple Twitter Followers Guide

Retweet This

Tweet you later,

Are Morch
TweedyCoach - #twecoAre Morch -http://www.blogger.com/profile/02485214166978746194noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1445769415804528243.post-22830052581113270132009-04-11T18:23:00.000-07:002009-04-11T18:30:05.879-07:00#hashtags – The Simple #hashtags Guide# - the hash tag sign has become a great way to organize certain subjects, themes or groups on Twitter.

You can use the #hashtags to identify what kind of information you want your followers or potential followers to review. The best approach is to start out give yourself, then you eventually will get back in abundance.

Every Friday if someone send me an @ reply or Retweet one of my tweets I then make sure to thank them, and also endorse them through #followfriday. This is a great way to give back to your friends and followers, and they will then reward you back.

I also endorse some that I follow that provide some great information, but they are not following me. Now I also start experience the same, that people who not follow me is starting to endorse me due to my participation and information that I share.

How #followfriday started

Follow Friday. Another Tweet buzz was started.

Big guys like @mashable and @stephenfry sent out tweets that stirred up my tweetbox – telling us that this program is missing the point of Twitter and not to fall for this.

Was recently reading an article that this could risk stirring up your follower’s base, and that I could put myself in the risk of getting suspended on Twitter.

Who should set the agenda for Twitter?

I highly respect some of the Twitter authorities, but should they set the agenda for what’s right and wrong on Twitter?

Yes, I can see the needs for setting some ground rules for Twitter. Hopefully it want get to a point where we will need some kind of approval for tweeting a link.

Of course we learn valuable lessons from the Twitter authorities, and they have earned their Twitter influence through hard work and providing us with great tweets.

What will be the best ways to set an agenda for Twitter?

Twitter is for me a true ‘People working for People’ network. And it’s all about asking ‘How Can I Help You?” The “What’s In It For Me?” days is over!

Maybe when Twitter find some ways of Monetizing there probably with be set some kind of ground rules.

In the mean time Twitter is still an open free social network where we all should be able to collaborate on various third party programs for Twitter.

I use Twitter to provide advice – information – opinions and share what I believe is valuable links that my followers can benefit from. And my followers provide similar info back to me. Then we participate with providing constructive critics to each other. All this within 140 characters.

We all want to learn How to Tweet Like a Pro without damage our Twitter reputation, but rather increase our Twitter influence and become a Twitter authority that our followers will keep referring back to.

My thoughts here are some of my reflections over Twitter – what are your thoughts about these subjects?

Does Twitter need some ground rules, and who should set out these rules?

Your Tweedycoach,

Are MorchAre Morch -http://www.blogger.com/profile/02485214166978746194noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1445769415804528243.post-5141639405633223302009-03-16T10:50:00.000-07:002009-03-16T11:25:10.226-07:00Who Else Wants their Tweets to Stand Out in the Crowd?<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 194px; height: 320px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_B0osyG36DhQ/Sb6Zc7mbIJI/AAAAAAAAAI0/uJ2HyeH-53I/s320/bird.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5313853332658004114" />

@Mike_Wesely: #QUOTE: "It Is very difficult to be able to tell successes from failures without making a mistake." ~~Anton P Chekhov

I was reading an article about How to lose Twitter followers in 10 steps.
We all lose focus sometimes, and end up doing things we whished we could undo. Twitter is LIVE, so when you do make a mistake it gets public. And some of your Twitter Followers will tell you.

Don’t freak out if this happens to you. But take it as a learning experience. And remember there are a difference between a Tweet spam and a Tweet mistake. If you keep repeating your mistakes they can end up being spams.

If you receive a ‘negative’ comment about one of your tweets – don’t get defensive about it. But save the original tweet together with the ‘negative’ comment as a document in one of your folders on your personal computer. Then you have taken some steps to learn from your mistakes.

Tip: Avoiding Tweet mistakes is hard, but you can limit your Tweet mistakes by finding some Twitter accountability partners.

How Can You Improve your Twitter Influence?

You have started to Tweet – you have got some followers – but you still feel like you are Tweeting to “me – myself – and whoever that guy in the mirror is”. You and me want to know when and how we will make a mark on Twitter.

Is it all about the Tweet or the Retweet?

A Tweet is basically a one-way communication. You send out your Tweet, and hope that someone reads it. It’s not before someone either send you a DM, gives a @reply or you get a retweet that you know for sure that your Tweet has become two-way communication.

Many articles that I read today that focus on the two-way communication process on Twitter talks about Retweets. Retweets is you create an effective snowball effect on Twitter, but it take time to earn a quality Retweet that will create a lot of buzz.

Here as some techniques you can start apply to eventually earn a Retweet; How To Find Twitter Twits To Retweet You Tweet!

One great way to encourage two-way communication is to start using @replies on Twitter. @reply is any Twitter update directed at someone else, designated by a prefix of '@username' before the message.

On your Twitter account I recommend setting @ Replies setting to “Show me @replies to the people I’m following”.

Then your replies;
- will display on your Twitter home page
- are viewable on public profiles and in message archives

@ Replies are a great way to show your Twitter community that you are there to participate. And it will start build your Twitter influence, and then eventually you will earn a Retweet from your followers.

Here are some tips to follow when your receive an @reply, and you also want to do this when you receive an Retweet;
1) Send a @reply to @username telling them Thank You for the @reply or the Retweet
2) Take it up a notch by recommend @username on #followfriday or through @MrTweet
3) If they have a blog or website go in there an leave a comment for their website/blog
4) If you have your own blog or website either mention their website, blog or Twitter @username in your article. Or put a link to their blog or website on your own blog or website

Can you get to many followers?

I have seen some fuzz in newspapers and in various articles about the amount of followers you should have. Of course some followers can be distractive and they clutter your Twitter community in various ways.

But to me that is all they are – distractions that you can turn off. Don’t feel to bad about it. I’m sure many already have turned me off too. Worked for the hospitality industry a period and there I learned that you can’t satisfy everyone no matter how hard you try. And you learned that you wanted the critique from your customers no matter how bad it was – at least you knew that they then gave you an opportunity to fix the problem.

But just because we got negative critique we did not shut down the business, or limited us to only accepting the loyal guests to check in.

Do your own Twitter reality check and ask what you want to achieve with Twitter. Don’t let others dictate what’s the best route to take. I’m pretty sure that the team behind @mashable that almost have 250000 followers, and @guykawasaki that has almost 90000 followers don’t know then all.

Don’t see them complain too much over it either, and I’m sure they receive a bunch of Tweets to them that someday make them jump.

“Failure is just a new opportunity to make it right…”

Your Tweedycoach,

Are MorchAre Morch -http://www.blogger.com/profile/02485214166978746194noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1445769415804528243.post-12551314195212760022009-03-12T12:32:00.000-07:002009-03-15T06:12:36.130-07:00How To Tweet Like a Pro in 100 Days - Day 14Tap into Twitter Revolution

<iframe src="http://rcm.amazon.com/e/cm?t=shareitrandom-20&o=1&p=8&l=as1&asins=1934275077&fc1=000000&IS2=1<1=_blank&m=amazon&lc1=0000FF&bc1=000000&bg1=FFFFFF&f=ifr" style="width:120px;height:240px;" scrolling="no" marginwidth="0" marginheight="0" frameborder="0">

I finally got @WarrenWhitlock & @CoachDeb book - Twitter Revolution. I just have to say this is a brilliant resource of Twitter information.

@WarrenWhitlock asked me to share one tip I learned from this book. Wow - not an easy task since this book is loaded with information that you can apply to improve your Twitter experience. So I will share a couple of tips here;

1. Get the book - you want regret it

2. Define your Twitter Strategy and Goals

participate in conversations that are related to your interest -niche - blog - website - business

provide news that your followers will benefit from

give reviews/comments of books - articles - blogs - websites that you find helpful

constructive feedback to your followers is the best way to show that you care

great tips = great customer service = followers will come back to you for more tips

always share your resources

if you have idea - ask your followers what they think

How I reached 1000 followers in three months

I got a question from one of my followers asking how I reached 1000 followers in three months.

1. I did set a goal early on to reach 1000 followers within the date I had been on Twitter for three months. For me it's all about setting goals that I am confident that I can achieve. To me it was also important that I set a number that I knew I was able to handle. In the beginning it is important to learn how to measure the results of your efforts. So don't try to get 1000's of followers if you don't know how to handle that amount of followers.

One tip here if you have a blog or website - use Google Analytics - this tool is just amazing - and the best part of it -> it's free

2. Following my Twitter Strategy and Goals has been important both to get new followers and keep them referring back to me

3. Connecting through other social networks - Facebook - here you can do a search on Twitter groups, most of them allows you to post your Twitter handle after you followed the first one on the list, usually I follow more then one here unless I already follow them

TIP: check out my Twitter group on Facebook - Twitter Coaching in Three Steps

LinkedIn - here you can also do a search for Twitter groups - many business professionals uses LinkedIn

4. I promote my Twitter handle through my blog and every time I comment on someones blog that allows me to post my Twitter handle I do so. One tip here is to write the comment on the blog article you are reading first, then Tweet the link to the blog

5. I participate in many live Webinars - this is a great way to get new followers - Mike_Wesely host Twit Talk TV - great guy to follow and here you also find a lot of great new followers

These are some of the basics I followed to achieve 1000 followers in three months. You will also lose some followers on your way - don't freak out because of that - that is just the nature of the beast.

This approach has made it easier for me to define my Twitter strategy. You will learn that the way you follow new people, and also get new followers yourself will change dramatic over time.

Twitter and Direct Messaging(DM)

Unfortunately we still experience too many that don't use Direct Messaging the right way. This has caused some to consider DM's as spam. DMs is actually a great tool for more professional communication. But we experience way to many that send some link with 'check out this' note. If I don't know you from before and this is your first DM to me, I will NOT check it out.

If you take the time to build up a Twitter relationship with me chances are that I will over time stop by and check out your link. If you keep up trying to DM me links without building a relationship first then I first opt to disallow DM's from your Twitter account, and then if you try other ways to send me links I will opt to block your Twitter account.

The Twitter Dilemma: "The good thing about Twitter is that it still is a free service - The bad thing about Twitter is that it still is a free service"

With the growth Twitter experience it's hard to tell what direction it will take, but for the majority of us that enjoy this service we have to take steps to stop this trend and also to avoid spammers from setting the rules for the future of Twitter.

Most of you that have sent me a link on your first DM I don't believe are spammers. More then likely nobody have told you this. I have done my share of mistakes on Twitter, and more then likely I will still do some more mistakes. But it is when I start repeat my mistakes over and over again I will get myself in trouble. I also recommend you read this article - Time To Take a Stand - Yes, We're Ending the DM's

TweedyCoach Tip

Your Twitter Karma is one of the best tools to navigate and keep track of your followers and who you follows.

Tell me what you want to learn about Twitter

I keep getting some questions through my Twitter account @ecomind - a big thank you to all of you for your participation and great questions! Together we can make a difference, and we will start a new beginning together.

A special thanks today goes to @therevcoach - for great participation.

Keep sending me your questions or comments.

Your Twitter friend,

Are Morch
The TweedyCoach

Digg itAre Morch -http://www.blogger.com/profile/02485214166978746194noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1445769415804528243.post-25213060804958665202009-03-04T08:38:00.000-08:002009-03-12T13:31:26.033-07:00How To Tweet Like a Pro in 100 Days - Day 13Is Twitter so easy that even a Caveman could use it?

Twitter is addictive - and everyone is getting into the TwitterZone. Everyone is catching on to this addiction - presidents, news anchors, celebrities, businesses, politicians, comedians, entrepreneurs, churches, schools, grandmothers, grandfathers, dads, moms, students, kids, and even some animals has their own tweets - you name it and they are on Twitter.

Why this fascination for Twitter?

We need to think like a Caveman to find some of the answer to this question.

Here are some basic Caveman needs;

1. Biological and Physiological needs - air, food, drink, shelter, warmth, sex, sleep, etc

2. Safety needs - protection from elements, security, order, law, limits, stability, etc

3. Belongingness and Love needs - work group, family, affection, relationships, etc

4. Esteem needs - self-esteem, achievement, mastery, independence, status, dominance, prestige, managerial responsibility, etc

5. Self-Actualization needs - realizing personal potential, self-fulfillment, seeking personal growth and peak experiences

When you follow someone on Twitter, your most quality followers are those that help you fulfill all your basic needs. And if they help you achieve something you never thought you would be able to, then you have set the terms for long term friendship that both of you will benefit from. Follow someone is not a number game, it is all about psychology. And then it's about how far are you willing to go to give out your share of information to others so they can fulfill their needs. Twitter is all about give with open hands - and then you will receive in abundance back.

6. Twitter needs - peek into other peoples life, talk about yourself

Twitter has become the most popular online reality show. And we are just fascinated that we actually can participate. I can finally give my dream performance to an audience that are willing to interact.

I get many questions about who is my favorites people to follow on Twitter. My best advice is to find followers that fulfill all your six basic Cavemen needs. You will not do this overnight, take your time. Time will allow you to start a new beginning with Twitter if you follow proven techniques, and then you will discover who is the best people to follow. Over time I have found six Twitter Cavemen that helps me fulfill some of my basic Cavemen needs;

a) Biological and Physiological needs - @mashable - Social Media News and Web Tips - They know how to make a Twitter fire

b) Safety needs - @joelcomm - Twitter Power - How To Dominate Your Market One Tweet at a Time - He wrote the Twitter Bible

c) Belongingness and Love needs - @marismith - Mari Smith - Relationship Marketing Specialist - She is a bubbly loving person that gives you abundace of great info from every conferance/event/webinar she particpate in

d) Esteem needs - @guykawasaki - Twitter news without the fail whale - He helps you bringing your Twitter achievements to the next level

f) Self-Actualization needs - @problogger -TwiTip - An Aussie that made me realize my personal Tweet potential

g) Twitter needs - @ecomind - EcoMind - The New Beginning - I love to peek into other peoples life - and I will give and receive with open hands

Twitter Cavemen Tip of the Day

I have provided you some great resources here today. This is the fascinating thing about Twitter. I love the abundance of high quality info that I find through my followers – but I have to admit I love some of the gossip too.

Follow some of the top-notch Tweets and learn from their behaviors. Warnings don’t be copycat – that just doesn’t work. But you will get a great behind the scene info, and you might learn a thing or two.

My coaching goal is to provide you with info you can use in your Tweets today, and pass this onto your new followers and also to followers that has been with you for a time. And also achieve one great challenge – learning how to provide great tweets within 140 characters.

Using those 140 characters to guide your Twitter followers to your blog – and you then start to take advantage of the real power of Twitter.

46. Feed your blog to Twitter

If you have not got a blog yet – then now is the time! Go to Blogger or Wordpress and create you blog there Free! Twitterfeed will feed your blog updates automatic to Twitter. Warning!! Use this with caution. You don’t want to be the annoying squeaky wheel. I don’t send more then one feed per day.

47. Share a little secret with your followers

Do you use one Twitter tool that really has brought your tweets to next level – then share this with your followers. I bet you they will love you – and become loyal quality followers.

My Secret Twitter Tool: HootSuite - this is just a fantastic and revolutionary tool.

With HootSuite, you can manage multiple Twitter profiles, pre-schedule tweets, and measure your success. HootSuite lets you manage your entire Twitter experience from one easy-to-use interface.

48. Create Twitter Surveys

Surveys are a great way to collect information on a particular subject that you are interested in. And if you send your followers to your survey – you will create some buzz about it on Twitter. Set a timeframe for your Survey, and then share the results with your followers on your blog. I use a new tool I felled in love with – SocialToo - to create my surveys.

49. Put a twist to your tweets – market your Twitter profile offline

Yes Twitter is mostly about the LIVE online action. But you can also promote your profile offline in creative ways to earn new followers. If you participate in a conference – why not promote your profile on a T-shirt – zazzle.

50. Combine Twitter with other Social Media

There are many Social Media channels available on Internet. Some have up to 10 or more different social media accounts. I don’t participate in that many. But I do participate in other program then Twitter.
Facebook
LinkedIn
StumbleUpon
Squidoo

As you will find out I don’t use all of these active yet. Hey if you have a coaching program for one of these Social Media channels – don’t be shy – tell me!

Your TweedyCoach,

Are Morch

Digg itAre Morch -http://www.blogger.com/profile/02485214166978746194noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1445769415804528243.post-8225881751028428372009-02-24T10:21:00.000-08:002009-02-25T20:25:06.966-08:00How To Tweet Like a Pro in 100 Days - Day 10The best advice I can give if your goal is to become a top tweeter is to give to your followers with open hands – giving with closed hands makes it hard to give back in return.

Don’t hide what you know; if you know someone else will benefit from it - share it! Twitter is real time value – yesterday’s news is history – presenting today’s news on Twitter is what makes you stand out.

One word of advice; I also notice some misusage of Direct Messaging (DM’s). I am not against DM’s, but don’t send links or a note saying ‘check out this’ on your first DM to your new followers. Part of building up a good Twitter Network, is to build up trust. I have seen many top Social Coaches that stop follow new followers that start out with sending them a DM before they know them. The only time I check out links in my DM’s, is when I requested it.

Don’t get discouraged if you work on building up trust with your followers - we will check out the links you present us with in your tweets when we know and trust you.

And avoid the number one tweet mistake that will make you loose a bundle of followers – NEVER put an affiliate link in your tweet! Send your followers to your blog or website.

41. Twitter tip channel

Create your own Twitter tip channel that you can present to your followers. Here you present your followers with blogs or websites that provides great Twitter tips. You can do this presentation either through your own blog or website, or one tweet at the time. Here are some of my top Twitter tip channels;
@problogger - Darren Rowse provide some top notch Twitter tips at Twitip
@mashable - Pete Cashmore provide Twitter news with a twist at Mashable
@joelcomm - Joel Comm is the author of Twitter Power – How to Dominate Your Market One Tweet at a Time Twitter Power
@CoachDeb - Deborah Cole Micek – CoachDeb is one of the best Social Coaches on Internet Tribal Seduction
@dhollings - Dan Hollings offer probably the most extensive Twitter Secrets and Tool kits you can find Twittin’ Secrets
@pistachio - Laura Fitton provide some Twitter insight you want find anywhere else Pistachio
MrTweet - MrTweet provide training – follower incentives and Twitter information that is a must for both newbies and pros Mr. Tweet
@danzarrella Dan Zarrella provide some Twitter scripts that will kick your Tweets up a notch or two Dan Zarella
@TechCrunch Michael Arrington gives us a profile of new products and companies, and is the missing link for Twitter TechCrunch
@twitter - Just a must follow to get all the inside scoops, and make sure you read the Twitter blog

42. Check out hot topics and trends

Find out what’s going on in the Twitter sphere. The best way to find real time hot topics and trends are to visit these two great websites regularly;
a. Retweetist, and follow them at @retweetist
b. Retweetradar, and follow them at @retweetradar

43. Become a tweet giver

If you have information, products, gifts, books, ebooks, service or goods that you can give away to your followers – then start give it to them for FREE with no strings attached. We want to become Tweet savvy and use it to promote or blog, website or business. The best approach is to offer your followers something for free, and the only thing you ask in return is that they either tweet or retweet your free offer. You want to create a win-win situation.

44. Do NOT protect your updates

Twitter allows you to keep your tweets confidential. This means you have to approve the people that can see your tweets. Not quit sure why anyone want to use this option at Twitter. But it is there. I worked at as night manager at a hotel, and when my housekeepers told me there was a do not disturb sign on the door – most of the times we honored this request. And I would also go to the rooms to verify that it was correct so we did not get any complaints. So if you want to be left alone at Twitter – we will honor it. Twitter is real time live Social Networking where the people there create the news – therefore I don’t recommend use this option on Twitter.

45. Utilize Twitter books to gain more tweet power

There is no problem finding a lot of valuable information on Twitter online. But if you want to get more in debt info on Twitter I highly recommend reading some books on the subject. Power Tweets comes with knowledge. I use my books to supplement my information base, and to gain new knowledge. Here is two books I highly recommend. If you know of other valuable books – let me know! You can find the authors on Twitter at; @joelcomm - @WarrenWhitlock - @CoachDeb.

<iframe src="http://rcm.amazon.com/e/cm?t=shareitrandom-20&o=1&p=8&l=as1&asins=0470458429&fc1=000000&IS2=1<1=_blank&m=amazon&lc1=0000FF&bc1=000000&bg1=FFFFFF&f=ifr" style="width:120px;height:240px;" scrolling="no" marginwidth="0" marginheight="0" frameborder="0">

<iframe src="http://rcm.amazon.com/e/cm?t=shareitrandom-20&o=1&p=8&l=as1&asins=1934275077&fc1=000000&IS2=1<1=_blank&m=amazon&lc1=0000FF&bc1=000000&bg1=FFFFFF&f=ifr" style="width:120px;height:240px;" scrolling="no" marginwidth="0" marginheight="0" frameborder="0">

My Twitter coaching program is growing, and I earn my Twitter respect and reputation one tweet at the time. There is still a lot for me to learn. My new goal is to improve my blog presentation. That is something I will work on the next couple of weeks. So keep on Tweedling around here. Hope I can make your experience here even more valuable, and that you will refer your followers to my blog.

Your TweedyCoach,

Are Morch

Check out:
Day 1
Day 2
Day 3
Day 4
Day 5
Day 6
Day 7
Day 8
Day 9

Come Tweet with me at:

Twitter
Facebook
Blog

Cheers..

Digg it

Tweet this - Retweet this - Follow Me On TwitterAre Morch -http://www.blogger.com/profile/02485214166978746194noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1445769415804528243.post-13992470819174531182009-02-20T09:45:00.000-08:002009-02-20T10:00:33.073-08:00How To Tweet Like A Pro in 100 Days - Day 9After two weeks sliding a little out of my main topic, I am tweeding myself back to tweet basics.

Thanks for all kind of Tweet feedback – both positive and negative. Hey if you can’t handle negative feedback then you are not motivated for a new beginning.

Did get some feedback that you can learn How To Tweet in one day getting some books on quotes, watch some comedy and Retweet some good people. I don’t disagree that you can learn How To Tweet in one day. Basic conversation on Twitter basically require that you are polite and don’t spam.

Twitter authorities that is highly recognized and more then likely get a high volume of tweet buzz after they send out a tweet did not achieve this recognition over night.

To me they did what it took to get them where they are today. For me this coaching program is all about doing what it takes to achieve my goals, and help you achieve yours. We want to go behind the scenes of sending a tweet that achieve high amounts of tweet buzz and rank high on ReTweets.

Yesterday I was watching and chatting with several Twitter authorities on <a href=” http://www.tweetathon2009.com/”>Tweet-A-Thon 2009. What a blast it was. Learning from some of the Twitter masters is just something you can’t put a prize on. My goal will be to do a blog interview with one or more of these profiles – so keep tweedling here…

36. Tweets and Google
Google provides some of the best tools for your Tweets. <a href=” http://www.google.com/ig?hl=en&source=iglk”>iGoogle is a absolute must if you want to move your tweets to the next level. You can also send tweets from <a href=” http://www.google.com/ig?hl=en&source=iglk”>iGoogle. And if you don’t have Gmail yet then sign up now – it’s free and a tweety must. Google has some great statistic and other tools that help analyze your efforts. This is great tools both for newbies and pros.

37. Who’s tweetin about you
Find out who is tweetin about you is really helpful for your Twitter growth. This is not very tricky. TweetBeep keeps track of conversations that mention you, your products, your company, anything, with hourly updates.

38. Add #hashtags to your tweets
Hashtags are tags presented by the # sign. They are used to track data about certain subjects. With Twitter search you can keep track of responses to a certain # in real time. Visit hashtags.org - and here you can find some of the most common #hastags used. Start organize some of your tweets with a #hastag.

39. Twitter lingo
Not familiar with the entire Twitter lingo yet? Then view the Twitter Glossary. Also to kick your tweets up a notch learn some Twitter Etiquette. And view and share Twitter in plain English with your followers.

40. Customer support and service
Tweet with the attitude on ‘How Can I help you?’ If you give to your followers with and open hand then you will receive in abundance back again. Don’t be afraid to share your information for free. If you know something that you think your followers can benefit from – let them know for free. Don’t send them some affiliate link to sign up with. You want to build trust, and remember this is all about a new beginning – so get rid of those old habits that did not work.

Remember if you make one bad tweet it takes at least 10 good tweets to get your tweet reputation stabilized again.

Check out:
Day 1
Day 2
Day 3
Day 4
Day 5
Day 6
Day 7
Day 8

Come Tweet with me at:

Twitter
Facebook
Blog

Cheers..

Digg it

Tweet this - Retweet this - Follow Me On TwitterAre Morch -http://www.blogger.com/profile/02485214166978746194noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1445769415804528243.post-81745658590181874222009-02-13T11:36:00.000-08:002009-02-13T11:50:29.450-08:00Twitter LOVE and moreFebruary 14 is Valentines day – this a day where we express love for each other. Can you learn and grow on Twitter expressing your love with someone. To me true love comes from your hart. You do crazy stuff when you follow the passion of your hart.

Can we adapt this passion into a new beginning?

Yes we can! And now I learned that not only can we do it, but we should also do it to learn from our mistakes.

I goofed several times on Twitter, but I have two times that stands out for me. First I jumped into a phishing DM with both feet’s. And then I jumped into a follower pyramid.

I learned that it made my follower base more vulnerable and it was effecting my own Twitter reputation. So lesson learned – Twitter is still young and vulnerable – and if it sounds to good to be true then it probably is.

What did I learn from these experiences?

That Twitter is attached to LOVE, and when I lose my passion then I get off track.

L – Twitter listener
You can learn a lot from being an active Twitter listener. Most of the tweets are real time so make a Twitter note when you see an informative tweet. And then share it with us by sending it as retweet. Top-notch tweets will get a lot of attention on Twitter.

O – Twitter observer
Observe and discover the facts behind a Tweet. Don’t jump to fast into a hot tweet just to learn that it will come back as Twitter boomerang and hit you in the head.

V – Twitter virgin
If you are Twitter newbie/virgin then tell us so. Many newbies do the same mistake – not telling that they are new to Twitter. But when you have been active on Twitter for one month or two you are not a Twitter virgin any more.

E – Twitter expert
An expert will provide you with your Twitter knowledge and help you develop your Twitter skills in the right direction.

<iframe src="http://rcm.amazon.com/e/cm?t=shareitrandom-20&o=1&p=8&l=as1&asins=0470458429&fc1=000000&IS2=1<1=_blank&m=amazon&lc1=0000FF&bc1=000000&bg1=FFFFFF&f=ifr" style="width:120px;height:240px;" scrolling="no" marginwidth="0" marginheight="0" frameborder="0">

I’m reading @joelcomm excellent book; Twitter Power: How To Dominate Your Market One Tweet at a Time. Now we want to expand our perspective and look on how we can use Twitter as an incredible tool. One of the main questions you should start ask yourself now is “Why should I use Twitter?”

The reasons can be many;
- Just want to meet new friends
- Build a niche network
- Promote my blog or/and website
- Customer support
- Breaking News
- Education
- Information
- Political
- Campaigning
- Announce an event
- Announce your book release
- Announce your software release
- Announce any special offers/discounts
- Inform about charity
- Inform about church
- Job alerts
- Quit some destructive habits
- Publish a picture
- Set the facts straight
- Stay in touch with employees and customers
- Research
- Be part of an online movement

You can utilize Twitter in so many incredible ways; the only thing that will stop you is your own imagination. Twitter is a great tool to start a New Beginning; don’t let your imagination be the roadblock.

31. Ask – Why Should I use Twitter?
Plan your Twitter road map. It’s like any event you plan- you know your purpose. You should also know your purpose with Twitter.

32. Start thinking how you can monetize your Twitter efforts
Monetization is about adapting non-generating assets to generate revenue. Failure to monetize web sites was a problem that caused many businesses to fold during the dot-com burst. Web sites that do generate revenue are often monetized via advertisements or subscription fees.

One of the main things I use Twitter for is to promote my blog. At my blog I focus on using advertising that is complementary to my niche.

Advertising is an art in itself. Starting a blog and put out some ads does not mean you will start see revenue from these. Escpecially when you are new to blogging. It’s a lot about trail and error.

I select various spots on my blog and keep the ad there for a certain time frame and then see how it perform. Then I move it to a different position and follow the same scenario. I use also a free tool Sitemeter - to track traffic to my blog. This way I also get an idea of how traffic effects the amount of clicks on my ad.

But everytime I a see a blog that I belive has a good ad approach I bookmark this, and then work on transform it to my blog.

If you are like me – not an marketing expert – this will require a lot of practice. And make sure you keep track of your results to find out what is working. One of my biggest mistakes I did was not keeping track of what I had done to promote my blog. Had one day I noticed a lot of traffic and several clicks to my ads – and I had no clue why. Don’t do this mistake – because it is hard to replicate a success when you are new if you don’t keep good records.

33. Find yourself a Twitter accountability partner or network
In the News we see a lot of CEOs, Wall Street executives, Banks, Mortgage lenders, Crditcard companies gone wild. There has been very little accountability put in place to control peoples actions or lack of actions. And we have to phase it you and me has also gone a little wild. Now it is time to be accountable for our action or lack of actions. I’m not perfect and I have done my share of mistakes(don’t tell my wife I said so…). This training is all about a New Beginning. It’s time to find someone to partner with on Twitter that can be your accountability partner. You can’t do everything alone. And it will be great to have someone that can give you constructive critiques either on your blog, website or on your tweets. Plus you have someone you can ask for help - and visa versa.

34. Mindmap your Twitter plan
Mind mapping is a great way to plan your Twitter approach. I use <a href=” http://www.edrawsoft.com/freemind.php”>Edraw Mindmap. It’s free, and I just loved all the cool and great symbols they had available. This works great for me especially since my short-term memory is very SHORT…

35. Create a Twitter Brand name
Many of the top Twitter users have been able to create a Twitter Brand name for themselves. This make them stand out, and every time the post a tweet it will get attentions plus many clicks on their links. And almost every day they are among the top people on Retweetist. They almost are guaranteed to get a retweet. The things you and me need to work on here is;
- Attractive
- Attention
- Recognize
- Stand out
- Remember
- Distinguish
- Product
- Profile
- Informative
- Instructive
- Humor
- Bold

“If you do the things you need when you need to do them, then someday you can do the things you wan to do when you want to do them.” ~ Zig Ziglar ~

Check out:
Day 1
Day 2
Day 3
Day 4
Day 5
Day 6

Come Tweet with me at:

Twitter
Facebook
Blog

Cheers..

Digg it

Tweet this - Retweet this - Follow Me On TwitterAre Morch -http://www.blogger.com/profile/02485214166978746194noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1445769415804528243.post-91410571061244014612009-02-06T11:33:00.000-08:002009-02-09T09:31:31.055-08:00How To Tweet Like A Pro in 100 Days – Day 6I was reading an article on TwiTip about how to Improve Your Twitter Network by Avoiding Stereotypes.

This shows some of the importance of planning your Twitter strategy. You will come to a point on Twitter where you will experience some setbacks. Be prepared for these setbacks. There will be followers that drop out on you for various reasons. This can also be one of the side effects of auto following.

Many Twitter users have set up for auto follow on every one that follows them. I have done this for a while myself. But as my Twitter community has grown I see that I need to a better control of my network.

Tweedy steps for day 6:

26. Control your Twitter network
If you are using auto follow options then now it is time to consider putting it on hold. Controlling it is not too hard. I will use a watch strategy. Daily I use about 30 minutes to check out who I am following – who is following me – who is not following me – who are my fans – who are my new followers. I will check their profile and also go through some of their tweets. The tool I will use to do this is FriendOrFollow. And also use Qwitter to see which followers that choose to unfollow you.

27. Don’t forget about your Twitter appearance
I still see many that don’t use any images on their Twitter profile. Appearance is important if you want to utilize Twitter to full extent. As we start filter out on our followers/unfollowers it is important to provide something that identify you and make it easier to promote your self towards new followers. If you want to stand out and want to promote either a blog or your website – then don’t be shy. Let us know who you are. And also use Twitpic to share some photos with your followers.

28. Getting Retweets
Retweets is what makes your tweets go viral. For us newbies this is complex and demands practice. You can get one or two Retweets in the first couple of months depending on the quality of the tweet and the link you provide. To learn more about how to get a Retweet check out Dan Zarrela’s article The 20 Words and Phrases That Will Get You the Most ReTweets. Use his advice combined with Tweetburner to keep track of how many clicks you get on your link, and then see how many retweets you get. When you get a stronger Network and build up your trust among your followers – bigger chance you have to achieve a Retweet. And when someone gives you a Retweet – send him or her a thank you note.

29. Share your Twitter link
Get your Twitter link out there. Share it on all social networks you are part of. And if you are active on forums then tell them where to go for some cool tweets. Start put your Twitter link in your emails. If you have a business card then put it on there. And of course if you have a blog or website then you put it out there. Anytime you make a comment on a blog or website, then put your Twitter link there. Plus start share your followers link on Twitter every Friday. Every Friday there is a game on Twitter where you can present some of your followers that you think others can benefit from. It’s called #followfriday – when you see this in a tweet just click on it and you will see several recommendations. If you do it for your followers – they will do it for you.

30. Work on your Twitter Toolkit
There are a lot of tools out there to help you with your Twitter appearance. Here is short list of some of the tools I have mentioned:
a. Gmail
b. Tweetlater
c. Tweetdeck
d. My Twitter Toolbar
e. Twittercounter
f. FriendOrFollow
g. Twitter Search
h. Twellow
i. Qwitter
j. MyTweetSpace
k. Blogger
l. Blogcatalog
m. Tweetburner
n. Twitpic

By now we are starting to see a difference in our Twitter appearance. And we experience more feedback from our followers. It’s all about asking ‘How can I help you?’, participating, giving back, share information, appearance, persistence and patience. When you experience setbacks or some Twitter adversity then take a break – sit down – go over your Twitter plan and goals – rewind – and go back over previous steps – you never will get something for doing nothing. Take the proper action steps to get you back on track again.

Check out:
Day 1
Day 2
Day 3
Day 4
Day 5

Come Tweet with me at:

Twitter
Facebook
Blog

Cheers..

Digg it

Tweet this - Retweet this - Follow Me On TwitterAre Morch -http://www.blogger.com/profile/02485214166978746194noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1445769415804528243.post-14711860799290496772009-02-04T12:01:00.000-08:002009-02-06T09:02:33.850-08:00How To Tweet Like A Pro in 100 Days – Day 5Twitter is growing like crazy. Traffic to Twitter has increased ten-fold (947%) from January 2008 to mid-January 2009, making it one of the fastest-growing websites of the year, according to Hitwise UK.

This gives us little glimpse of the Social Network movement that we are part of. Twitter will change the way we operate online. We already see a lot of business starting to utilize Twitter to promote their business. The opportunities on Twitter are beyond the sky.

You are here at the right time. It’s time to join this Social Network movement. Be Twitterrized! Follow me at: @ecomind.

Tweedy steps for day 5:

21. Make your Twitter background stand out
It’s time to get a little more professional on our Twitter presentation. Get yourself a Twitter background that stands out. There are several great free options out there. I used MyTweetSpace. I loved their templates. But you can also Google ‘Free Background for Twitter”. There are plenty of good options out there.

22. Profile – Profile – Profile
In Real Estate it is all about location – location – location. Twitter is more about profile – profile – profile. On Twitter you have 160 characters for your profile. And also you can put in a link to your blog or website. I now matched my Twitter and Blog profile. This to better define my niche and what my interests are. My profile I have updated one time during my journey so far. My profile is a result of my own learning experience and reading other informative tweets on Twitter.

23. Utilizing Twitter together with a blog
Twitter is a gateway to new opportunities. You have to make sure there is something on the other side. Create a blog where you write about your passion or area of expertise. You can create a free blog with Blogger and Wordpress. And start ask your Twitter friends ‘How Can I Help You?’. Visit your follower’s blog to get ideas and inspiration. If you see something you like bookmark it and leave a comment on their blog. Many blogs allows you to put in your own blog link and Twitter link with your comments. Personally when I see an article I like I start out with a comment, then I bookmark the article and then I tweet the link to the article to share it with my followers.

24. Find Twitter on Facebook
You can find Twitter groups on Facebook. At Facebook just do a search for ‘Twitter’ under groups. This I highly recommend. Here I found several great Twitter groups and a lot of great followers. And I found some very informative material about Twitter at Facebook. My goal here is to create my own Twitter fan page there. Has to create something that is unique and fit in with profile and niche here. If you are not signed up with Facebook yet, then visit me at Facebook.

25. Think outside the box
To grow Twitter and your new blog you should look into to programs that are complementary to each other. This means finding program that support each other. Like I use Twitter to support my blog. And I also use my blog to promote my Twitter link. Facebook I use to support both Twitter and my blog. Another great tool I now use to support Twitter and my blog is blogcatalog. This tool is just awesome, and their service is top notch! Make sure you also follow them in Twitter at @blogcatalog.

Tell them that I sent you there.. :)

If you are not convinced about the effect of Twitter yet then read this article Dawn of the Twitter effect. Tells you how one Tweet overloaded one blog with traffic. And make sure you follow @mashable – maybe your blog will be Mashed and Crashed one of these days.

Check out:
Day 1
Day 2
Day 3
Day 4

Come Tweet with me at:

Twitter
Facebook
Blog

Cheers..

Digg it

Tweet this - Retweet this - Follow Me On TwitterAre Morch -http://www.blogger.com/profile/02485214166978746194noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1445769415804528243.post-13159049119932749492009-02-02T12:34:00.000-08:002009-02-04T10:38:53.364-08:00How To Tweet Like A Pro in 100 Days – Day 4Twitter is just awesome! Thanks to all my Twitter followers and friends for all the great feedback and response I have got. I am really humble and feel privileged to being part of creating a new beginning for so many.

Twitter will help create a new era for you and me. We will coach each other through an exceptional experience for all of us. It’s all about participating and giving something back.

Tweedy steps for day 4:

16. Bookmark – Favorite and Group your Tweets
Tweetdeck and Tweetlater are great tool to help you organize your tweets. But you also have to do your part. I always recommend to bookmark informative links. And organize these links in Favorite folders at your browser. And also use Tweetdeck to organize your tweets in group and put informative Tweets in your Favorite at Tweetdeck. Your followers can through Twitter see your favorites.

17. Find your Twitter niche
Finding your Twitter niche can be tricky, but if you find a niche or subject that you are passionate about it will make you stand out. And this way it will be easier to find followers that will recommend you to others. I used Twellow to search my niche and to help finding others that share the same interests as me.

18. Create a Twitter Plan
Tweeting all day can be fun enough, but you need a plan with it. Else you never will be able to use Twitter to its full capacity. If you have a blog, web site or a online business make sure you connect this with your tweets. I put my Twitter all over my blog. Now I also have found options to either tweet or retweet my articles. Don’t make your Twitter plan to complicated.
a. Sign up for Twitter
b. Find followers
c. Start tweeting
d. Organize my tweets
e. Find my twitter niche
f. Combine twitter with my blog
Be creative and set up your own Twitter plan as you would set up an shopping list. We will have as a goal to create a professional Twitter plan within 100 days.

19. Unfollow/Follow – Who are you following and are they following you?
When you Twitter starts getting fairly large then it can be ok to check out who you are following that don’t follow you. And also the other way who are following you, but you are not following them. I have several that I follow that provide some great insight on Twitter, but they don’t follow me back. But I am not stopping to follow them just because they don’t follow me. When I see someone that I follow that don’t provide the information I’m looking for then I keep them under ‘watch’ for a couple of weeks. And then I determine if it still is worth follow them. All of us was new to Twitter at one point, and my goal is not to scare those that are new away, but to come here for learning, express and share their thoughts.

The tool I use for help myself updated on followers is FriendOrFollow.

20. Filter information through Twitter search
Twitter Search is great way to find real-time info on Twitter. I actually use Twitter Search to search up subjects of interest, and see if I can find new people to follow there. You can use various search operators - Twitter Search Operators. These will help you find what you are looking for. The first thing I did on Twitter Search was to write in my Twitter username and hit search. This gives you a basic idea on some of the information you can find there. I find this tool very helpful. To begin with I just suggest to try and fail. Sometimes you will see certain words in a tweet that has a hashtag(#) in front of them. Click on these words just to see what happens. We will get more into how to group words in your tweets so they show up on Twitter Search.

“They always say time changes things, but you actually have to change them yourself” ~ Andy Warhole ~

Check out:
Day 1
Day 2
Day 3

Come Tweet with me at:

Twitter
Facebook
Blog

Cheers..

Tweet this - Retweet this - Follow Me On TwitterAre Morch -http://www.blogger.com/profile/02485214166978746194noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1445769415804528243.post-2581882192268966882009-01-30T12:11:00.001-08:002009-02-04T10:55:57.718-08:00How To Tweet Like A Pro in 100 Days – Day 3Staying focused and learning better Twitter. Time management is very important. But also have some fun while working with Twitter. I did watch a story on the news today about kids that was sending over 30,000 text messages per month. How many tweets should you send per day?

Tweedy steps for day 3:

11. Add some statistic to your tweets
As you keep growing your Twitter community it is really recommended that your keep track on your growth. Twittercounter is a great tool to keep track of your Twitter growth. I also use this tool to find new followers.

12. Do NOT spam!
Nobody likes a spammer. It’s ok to tweet links to your blog or other web sites you think will benefit your followers. But don’t put your affiliate links in a tweet. More then likely you will find that words will spread and your friends will start unfollow you.

13. Recommend your friends to the Twitter community
When someone is new to Twitter then introduce them to the Twitter community. Say something like; Hi friends. Take time to meet my new friend @yourfriend.

I also recommend that you share with the Twitter community people you follow that you think others will benefit from.

14. Use Twitter time management tools wisely
Tweetlater is a great Twitter time management tool. You can schedule your tweets there. But I do NOT recommend to auto post tweets. More then likely you will then also risk that your friends will start unfollow you.

15. Post your Twitter Top Followers List
It does not hurt to brag and share with the Twitter community some of the cool people you follow.

My cool Tweedies:
@barackobama - Hey President Obama is on Twitter - so why not follow him. But friends there is no fast or furious way to start a new beginning and tweet like a pro. It will take persistence and patience, and believing that you can achieve the goal of tweet like a pro by doing what it takes.

Tweedy steps for day 2:

6. Say Hi to your Followers
You will get notified at the email you signed up with when you have a new follower. Twitter allows you to send a Direct Message to your followers. So I recommend sending a welcome note to your new followers. Personally I want recommend to put in any link on your welcome note. I rarely click on these links, unless I have requested it. It’s accepted and highly recommended to rather put your links in your tweets. Direct Messages is a communications between you and me. Tweets reach out to all of your followers.

7. Organize your Tweets
As you Twitter community start growing, it gets harder to stay in touch with everyone. And it is also hard to follow all the Tweets that you get. I did start out organize my tweets with these three steps;
a. Sign up for Gmail by Google.Gmail is great when you set up your auto replies in next step.
b. Sign up for Tweetlater. This is a great tool to help schedule your tweets. And also to set up welcome notes on auto pilot. I use this for my welcome notes. Works great.
c. Sign up for Tweetdeck. This is a really great platform for organizing and sending your tweets. It let you organized tweets in groups and you add helpful tweets into favorites. One tip here is also to follow @tweetdeck on Twitter.

8. Reply and Retweet
When you see a tweet that you think your followers can benefit from then either reply or retweet this tweet. With reply or retweet all of your followers will get notified when you see a tweet you like or comment on. It will take a little while before you get your first retweet. In the start you will more then likely get some replies. Don’t be discouraged your first retweet will eventually come.

9. Finding more followers
Building your Twitter community one step at the time don’t need to be tricky. The big question is should you go for Quantity or Quality. Read this article to learn what is the best approach here - Twitter Followers: Quantity or Quality?. Two great places to start out finding new followers is;
a. Facebook - here you can do a search on Twitter groups. There you will find several "Follow Me – Follow You" groups.
b. Twellow - here you can find people that has interest in the same category as you, or look for people in your neighborhood that use Twitter.

10. Get the Twitter toolbar
Learning from some of the best is always a great approach. Dan Hollings has created one of the most comprehensive Twitter tools - My Twitter Toolbar. And I also recommend here to follow @dhollings on Twitter.

Don’t strive for perfect go for good enough!

Check out Day 1

Come Tweet with me at:

Twitter
Facebook
Blog

Cheers..

Tweet this - Retweet this - Follow Me On TwitterAre Morch -http://www.blogger.com/profile/02485214166978746194noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1445769415804528243.post-24728106979531551852009-01-26T12:24:00.000-08:002009-02-04T08:04:04.378-08:00How To Tweet Like A Pro in 100 days<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 150px; height: 78px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_B0osyG36DhQ/SX4enHUGSJI/AAAAAAAAAG8/_b5W9GOypwM/s320/twitter2.png" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5295703869161359506" />

President Obama will be measured on his first 100 days. Can we make a new beginning for ourselves in 100 days? I know that we can make a difference in 100 days.

So our first goal will be to learn how to Tweet like a Pro in 100 days.

To achieve this goal we have to make several Tweedy Steps.

1. What is Twitter all about?
Twitter is a service for friends, family, and co-workers to communicate and stay connected through the exchange of quick, frequent messages. People write short updates, often called “tweets” of 140 characters or fewer. These messages are posted to your profile or your blog, sent to your followers, and are searchable on Twittersearch.

2. Sign up for Twitter
Twitter is a free service. So this step is fairly easy. You sign up with your real name and select your username. I have seen some that say selecting a username on Twitter is like selecting a top-notch domain. At this point we are just learning about Twitter, so personally I did not put too much into it. I selected a name that was related to my blog and it was available. But you are not limited to just one Twitter account, so if you come up with a top-notch name that is available – go for it.

3. How do you use Twitter?
You need an Internet connection or a mobile phone.

4. Login into Twitter
Write your first Twitter message – or “tweet” as we like to call it. When you type your message in the Twitter box you will see the number to the top right of the box will decrease as you type. If you go over 140 characters this number will turn red. Sending a “tweet” is in someway similar to sending an SMS on your mobile phone. Just follow some basics when sending your tweets. Be friendly, informative and listen to others. Practice.. Practice.. Practice..

5. Find Friends that will follow you and that you follow back again
Twitter is social network, so it’s all about creating new friendship and also stay in touch with old friends. The simplest way to get someone to follow you is to provide them your Twitter profile – http://twitter.com/yourprofile and ask them to follow you. And in return you will follow them. Sometimes it can be a good approach to do it the other way around, you start follow them, and then tell that you just followed them on Twitter and ask if they will follow you in return. There are several websites that will provide various techniques on how to grow your followers on Twitter. Just make sure that if they tell you how to get 1000, 10000 or 100 followers that you check out that actually have that many followers themselves.

This is some good basic steps to get you started on day 1. Browse around on Twitter, and you will also find great info there. For me a new beginning is to start it out slowly and make sure you learn all the basics first. This time I want to make sure I cover all details and learn them from scratch. We all have done our mistakes trying to rush into something and believe that we can achieve something we were not prepared for at all. We have to make ourselves accountable for our own actions. Media will assure that we will hold President Obama accountable after his first 100 days. But who will hold you and me accountable?

Come Tweet with me at:

Twitter
Facebook
Blog

Cheers..

Tweet this - Retweet this - Follow me on TwitterAre Morch -http://www.blogger.com/profile/02485214166978746194noreply@blogger.com4
